Bridging Vision and Robotics

Guillermo Gallego, Professor for Robotic Interactive Perception at TU Berlin, visited our lab to share his research group’s recent advances in event-based vision and to discuss cooperation in research and development activities on applications of machine vision, nonlinear systems and robotics. Thus, he saw some results from our recent research projects and debated with the young researchers of the GTI.

Besides his affiliation to TU Berlin, Guillermo is Ad-Honorem Professor at our university since 2024, where he obtained his engineering degree in 2004 and was a Marie Curie Experienced Researcher between 2011 and 2014. He was a Fulbright scholar at the Georgia Institute of Technology between 2005 to 2011 and, before joining TU Berlin, he was as a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Neuroinformatics at the University of Zurich and ETH Zurich between 2014 and 2019.

Since his departure to Switzerland in 2014, Guillermo has maintained a close connection with the GTI, which has led to relevant scientific publications. This collaboration has intensified since his appointment as Professor Ad-Honorem in 2024.
