GTI at IBC 2024 in Amsterdam 

The International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) 2024, held in Amsterdam, has established itself as one of the world's most important events in the broadcasting and media industry. This annual gathering brings together leading industry professionals and companies to explore the latest technological innovations, such as artificial intelligence (AI), extended reality (XR), and cutting-edge audiovisual production solutions. With more than 55,000 attendees, IBC is the ideal place to discover the future of broadcasting and multimedia content creation.

Javier Usón, a PhD student from the Grupo de Tratamiento de Imágenes (GTI), represented the XReco project in the AI Tech Zone at IBC 2024. During the event, Usón presented the advances in artificial intelligence-based technologies that are transforming the production of XR content and the creation of 3D humans.

In addition to his presence at the booth, Javier Usón participated in the accelerator entitled “Evolution of the Control Room - Leveraging XR, AI, Voice and HTML-based Graphics Solutions”. In this space, he showed how XReco is applying XR, AI, HTML graphics and voice control to revolutionize content production. A highlight of his presentation was the innovative volumetric rendering system (FVV), developed by GTI, which enables the creation of immersive 3D experiences and is set to change the way immersive content is created and consumed.
