The Grupo de Tratamiento de Imágenes is at the European Aquaculture Conference 2025 (Valencia) presenting the e-poster: “Multimodal AI for Smart Aquaculture: Automatic Behavior Recognition in Natural and Controlled Environments”.

Our researchers Enmin Zhong and Carlos Roberto del Blanco demonstrate how multimodal artificial intelligence can be applied to the automatic recognition of fish behavior in both natural environments and controlled systems.

The aim of this work is to move towards smarter and more sustainable aquaculture, supported by the analysis of multimodal data and the use of AI tools that enhance observation, control, and management of aquaculture systems.
